CLEARING MY GAMING BACKLOG

I finally decided to start clearing my backlog of games, so here's my thoughts on every game I finish.

Finished games

• Grand Theft Auto: Vice City (PC)
  Finally got to work on this after several years of slacking off. The vibes were on point, I loved the late 80s aesthetics, especially the incredible soundtrack. The story was a bit short and simple, but it worked well enough for me. It was a fun, simple game.

  Overall rating: 7/10
• Gears of War (Xbox 360)
  A fun, satisfying shooter with a gritty atmosphere. I was positively surprised by how difficult this game was, even on the easiest setting. It's worth noting that the cover system was quite revolutionary for its time, and while similar cover systems have become a staple of TPP shooters by now, I appreciated how they did it back in 2006.

• Bulletstorm (Xbox 360)
  This was quite a fun first person shooter. I liked all the creative ways in which you could dispatch enemies and all the points that appeared on the screen were quite neuron-activating. The weaponry felt pretty good too, most weapons packed a good punch (especially the boost modes). However, the story was pretty poorly written and its ending was a setup for a sequel, which was never made.
